CARNATION FLOWER

Carnation flower is one of the most featured flowers simply due to its important symbolic meanings which i am going to take you through shortly. First, let us know a brief introduction about carnation flowers. Carnation flower is scientifically known as Dianthus Caryophyllus. It is historically rich and meaningful flower which has been appreciated  over many centuries. It has been regarded as a symbol of love all over the world. Carnation flowers are known to exist in different depending on the categories which they exist. This flower exist in three main broad categories namely

Carnation flowers come in perennial, biennial and annual plants. They can be planted in tree nursaries or flowerbeds, rock gardens or even pots in houses as decoration in houses.   1. Large flowered Carnations - one large flower per stem. 
  2. Spray Carnations (Mini Carnations) - with lots of smaller flowers.
  3. Dwarf flowered Carnations - several small flowers on one stem.
     

Those who grow carnation flowers should understand how to care the planted carnation flowers starting from when it is young until maturity. The flowers need a good sun exposure of at least six hours a day and that means they should be grown in an open area. Make sure that the flowers are moist and do not over water the flowers as they may tend to turn their leaves yellow during foliage.   • Carnation flower has a medicinal value as it is to treat various illnesses. Flowers, from petals to roots, offer a variety of components and ingredients that may provide relief from pain, swelling and infection.
  • Carnation flower plant have been known to relieve stress. Normally, the leaves are brewed into tea which are then used to  relieve nervousness and fatigue and also minor depressions.
  • Carnation oil is known to maintain body skin by minimizing wrinkles and skin rushes especially in the face.
  • Carnation flowers are used in various occasions for example packaging gifts for loved ones, also in weddings and Christmas seasons. 
  • Carnation flowers are also used in decoration in houses for example carnation flowerbeds and flower gardens. Also the potted carnation flowers inside houses act as a decorative feature.
  • The plant also has created many job opportunities for those who grow the flower for commercial purposes in large plantations.
